The Swalec Plate enters the third round this weekend with 32 clubs vying to emulate Ammanford’s victory in Cardiff last season.
The regionalised draw provides a feast of local derbies, including Maesteg Quins welcoming neighbours Maesteg to South Parade, with the Three South West trailblazers looking to clinch their maiden win over their bitter rivals and with Maesteg struggling in Two West, few would call it an upset.
In an interesting clash, Three South East pacemakers Llanishen travel to last year’s Swalec Bowl Champions and Three East highfliers Senghenydd, while the top two in One North go head to head when Nant Conwy entertain leaders Caernarfon.
Last season’s runners up Glynneath will be looking to go one better this year but know they can’t look past Three South West’s Ystalyfera when they travel to the Ynysydarren Ground.
Meanwhile, in an all Two East clash, in-form Penallta welcome Ynysybwl to Ystrad Fawr, while league leaders Ystrad Rhondda make the short trip to Three South East’s Fairwater.
Further west, Loughor host Dunvant, Crymych clash with Haverfordwest and Tumble will look to cause an upset when they meet Cwmllynfell at Parc y Mynydd Mawr.
Elsewhere, Three South East pacemakers Garndiffaith travel to fellow title hopefuls Pontypool United, and an all Two West match up sees Kidwelly host Aberystwyth.
The day's other fixtures are as follows: Fairwater v Ystrad Rhondda; Mold v Bethesda; Nelson v St Peters; Pill Harriers v Abertillery BG; Skewen v Vardre; Tylorstown v Builth Wells.
