Pitmen aim to stall Ystrad's title bid

The clash of the day sees second place Penallta welcome pacemakers Ystrad Rhondda, in what could be the defining match in Ystrad’s season, as if they defeat the Pitmen, they would have at least a nine point advantage at the summit. However, Penallta have been in formidable form of late and have surged up the table, and with both teams not short on attacking options, this could turn out to be a thriller.
Meanwhile, Heol y Cyw host Ynysybwl with just a single point separating the sides in the table, and will undoubtedly be a tightly contested affair. The Cockerels haven’t lost at home all season and will be determined to keep their record intact as they push for promotion.
Third placed Rhydyfelin will still be reeling from their comprehensive defeat at the hands of the leaders last week and although they travel to Tylorstown, a side eight places below them in the league, it will not be an easy ride.
In the battle at the bottom, Rhymney travel to Abercynon and the hosts will be in confident mood after holding highflying Ynysybwl to a draw last week.
Elsewhere, Llantrisant entertain Fleur de Lys, with both sides struggling to put a run of results together, and finally Llantwit Fadre clash with Bedlinog.
