Beddau v Gilfach Goch
Gowch will be keen to get back to winning ways after narrowly losing out to Ebbw Vale last week where they could have beaten the leaders late on, despite being down to 14 men for over 70 minutes. They comfortably defeated Beddau in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and I think they will triumph again.
Verdict-Gilfach Goch by 15 points
Ebbw Vale v Treorchy
The Zebras have been in impressive form recently and will certainly prove a stern test for the Steelmen, but with the advantage of home soil, I feel the well organised and clinical hosts will be just that little bit too strong.
Verdict- Ebbw Vale by 5 points
Glamorgan Wanderers v Bargoed
The Wanderers have bagged back to back wins in the league and are finally starting to produce a string of performances together, but they welcome a very tough Bargoed side to the Memorial Ground. Bargoed haven’t lost since the end of October and will be in no mood to slip further behind pacemakers Ebbw Vale.
Verdict- Bargoed by 10 points
Merthyr v Blackwood
Blackwood have lost their last six matches and I can’t see that run coming to an end at The Wern. Although Merthyr haven’t had a vintage season, the Ironmen will be too formidable an opposition at home.
Verdict- Merthyr by 7 points
Mountain Ash v Tredegar
The battle of the promoted newcomers, when the sides met at the beginning of the season the Old Firm thumped their rivals, but Tredegar have grown into the Division and I predict a much closer encounter at Parc Duffryn Pennar.
Verdict- Mountain Ash by 6 points
Rumney v Newbridge
Rumney only narrowly overcame Tredegar last week and face a resurgent Newbridge next, who rekindled their season at Merthyr after a small wobble, with Neil Burnett coming back to form. I see only one winner in this match up.
Verdict- Newbridge by 7 points
