Ystrad Rhondda continue to reign supreme

Pacemakers Ystrad Rhondda continued their supremacy in Division Two East with an emphatic 62-0 demolition of Rhymney.
The undefeated trailblazers helped themselves to eight tries, including a hat-trick from outside half Alex Webber, who also landed six conversions to take his personal tally to 27 points. Chris Clayton and Daniel John both bagged braces while Carl Facey, Will Griff-John and Neil Jones also went over.

Penallta picked up their seventh win and moved up to third in the table with a try bonus 36-12 triumph at Tylorstown.
Try machine Aron Humphries was once again on the score sheet for the Pitmen with the wing crossing for a brace, while Sebastian Toms, Ross Morgan and Andre Soroko also touching down. Soroko also slotted a conversion and three penalties.
Rhydyfelin convincingly defeated struggling Fleur de Lys 36-3 at the Rec.
The hosts ran in five tries through Sam Studley, Keiran Phillips, Ross Lucas, Gavin Close and Tom Payne while Joshua Jones notched up eleven points with the boot.
Heol y Cyw did just enough to edge out Abercynon 24-22 at Y Parc.
The Cockerels crossed for three tries through Gareth Howe and a double from Scott Hancock who also landed all three conversions and a crucial late penalty.
The hosts staged an impressive second half fightback after being down 21-3 at one stage and ran in three tries through Ryan James, Wayne Davies and Sion Griffiths, while Matthew Turner landed two conversions and a penalty but fell just short of causing a shock.
Elsewhere, Llantwit Fadre bagged their third win with a 33-12 home success over Llantrisant, and Ynysybwl narrowly came out on top 29-28 at Bedlinog.
