Swalec Bowl 2nd Round Preview

The Swalec Bowl second round draw has set up an intriguing
mix of encounters including a tie that sees non-league Swansea University come up against Division Four West’s highflying Llanelli Wanderers. The students, who ply their trade in the BUCS Premier Division, will be looking for a big performance to bridge the gap and secure a place in the third round.
Another David v Goliath clash pairs Division Seven outfit
Cwmcarn United up against Four East side New Tredegar.
Meanwhile, Four East’s Talywain, who bagged the highest
scoring victory in the previous round, will be hoping to emulate last years Four East Champions Senghenydd who claimed the title, starting with a second round clash at Llanhilleth
Cardiff Quins of Division Four East, who narrowly scraped
past lower league opposition in round one, will this time travel to Ynysowen of Six Central and Quins will surely be hoping for a more comfortable victory.
Four West’s Furnace United who put Six West’s Pantyffynnon
to the sword in the last round running out 103-0 winners, will be hoping for more of the same when they entertain Crynant of Five South Central.
Tycroes of Five South West, who had a disastrous campaign
last year, have since made a big impression in their league this year. They will no doubt be  targeting a place in round three at the expense of local rivals Cefneithin.
Elsewhere, Menai Bridge in Three North will hope to bridge
the gap when they entertain Two North leaders COBRA and Nantagredig who gained promotion into Five West last season will face a stern test when they entertain Neyland.
All 64 matches in round two will take place on Saturday 5th
November with many of them sure to produce fireworks.
