WRU District ‘G’ held its annual Awards Dinner at Pontyates RFC on Friday 11th November when clubs welcomed guests including WRU vice chairman, Ken Hewitt, and guest speaker Roy Bergiers (ex-British Lions, Wales and Llanelli).
The winners of the annual awards were: Ben Morgan (Llanelli) for Player of the Year; George North (Scarlets) for U21 Player of the Year; and Les Jones (Bury Port) for Clubman of the Year. Les was presented with the W Ken Jones Memorial Trophy by District G Vice Chairman, Hywel Richards, but both the other recipients were unfortunately unable to attend due to their squad commitments with the Scarlets.
