Laura's weekend predictions

Blackwood v Treorchy
Both teams suffered defeats last weekend with Blackwood coming out on top in their opening day encounter. The hosts have now lost their last three matches and will be desperate to record a W tomorrow, but Treorchy have proven they can produce big performances, claiming Bargoed’s scalp earlier in the season.
Verdict - Treorchy by 6 points
Ebbw Vale v Glamorgan Wanderers
The Steelmen have been in sublime form of late, running in tries for fun, whereas the Wanderers have really struggled since their relegation.
Verdict - Ebbw Vale by 20 points.
Merthyr v Gilfach Goch
A difficult match to call; Merthyr will be determined not to suffer two home defeats on the trot but Gilfach put the Ironmen to the sword on the opening day of the season, although Merthyr have progressed nicely since then.
Verdict - Merthyr by 2 points
Mountain Ash v Beddau
The new boys had a rocky start to the season but have had time to settle in to life in the higher Division and will have home advantage. Beddau have been relatively inconsistent of late putting in a super performance to beat Newbridge a few weeks ago, but travel to the Old Firm on the back of two losses.
Verdict - Mountain Ash by 5 points
Newbridge v Tredegar
Highflying Newbridge will be keen to rack up a bonus point victory over struggling new boys Tredegar and I can’t see any other outcome than a home win.
Verdict - Newbridge by 25 points.
Rumney v Bargoed
Rumney have been steadily improving all season but third placed Bargoed will be in no mood to fall further behind Ebbw Vale and Newbridge
Verdict - Bargoed by 10 points
