Lampeter end leaders' unbeaten record

Lampeter bagged a surprise win over Division Three West pacemakers Haverfordwest, edging a 16-15 scoreline at North Road.
The Maroons raced into a 16-0 lead in just 35 minutes through prop Meirion Jones bashing his way over the line, with Huw Thomas adding the extras and also firing home three penalties.
The leaders, however, came back fighting after the interval, running in two tries through Jon Whitticombe and Sam Van Der Valk, with Steve Williams adding one conversion and slotting a penalty. The visitors pushed hard to maintain their unbeaten record but the home team’s defence showed good resilience to hold out and notch up their fifth win.
Dunvant capitalised on Haverfordwest’s slip-up, picking up a 15-0 home victory over strugglers Pontarddulais at a very soggy Broadacre to move just four points behind the trailblazers.
The hosts crossed for two tries in difficult conditions through Sam Crowley and Nick Charleir, with Greg Davies landing one conversion and a penalty.
Tenby United ran out 35-27 home victors over Pontyberem in a try fest at Heywood Lane.
The hosts ran in four tries through Justin Richards, Simon Stanford, Jason Scarfe and Luke Dedman, with James Davies adding three conversions and two penalties while Tom Lewis also slotted a penalty.
The visitors also bagged a try bonus thanks to touchdowns from Martin Jones, Neil Davies , Jonathan Morgan and Ben Trehearne, with Morgan also landing two conversions and a penalty, but it was not enough for his side to avoid their seventh defeat.
Meanwhile, Tumble notched up their seventh win with a 24-16 home triumph over Cardigan.
The Magpies crossed the whitewash twice through Karl Gabrielson and Chris Davies, while Steve Hewitt had an excellent day firing home four penalties and a conversion.
The hosts meanwhile, who led 11-9 at the break, narrowly missed out on picking up a losing bonus point, but touchdowns from Arwyn Wilson and Rob Connolly combined with two Michael Diggle penalties fell just short.
Elsewhere, Llandeilo recovered from their defeat at Dunvant last week to defeat Gorseinon 28-23 and Newcastle Emlyn notched up their fourth victory with a narrow 27-24 triumph at Penclawdd.
