Heol y Cyw inflicted pacemakers Ystrad Rhondda’s first defeat of the season in Division Two East, registering a 16-6 home triumph.
The Cockerels outscored their rivals two tries to nil first through hooker Luke O’Driscoll smashing his way over the line, and then centre Aaran Pinchers also crossing. Scott Hancock fired home two penalties to seal the win.

Penallta meanwhile continue their surge up the table, racking up their fifth consecutive victory with a 22-18 home win over Llantwit Fadre.
The opening half was a tight and edgy affair with Fadre taking a 6-5 lead into the break after the hosts' leading try scorer Aron Humphries had touched down to give his side the early advantage.
After the break, the game was much more open with the Pitmen romping to a 22-6 lead thanks to further tries from Keiran Mahoney and Andre Soroko, with the latter also firing home a penalty and two conversions. However, two late tries from Fadre saw the visitors bag a much deserved bonus point.
Meanwhile, highflying Ynysybwl suffered a shock defeat against Rhydyfelin, with Bwl going down 28-15 at the Recreation Ground.
Elsewhere, basement boys Rhymney slipped to their ninth defeat with the strugglers losing out at home to Bedlinog 22-13, while Llantrisant narrowly overcame Abercynon 13-9.
Finally, Fleur de Lys convincingly defeated Tylorstown, 32-5.
