Ystrad return to winning ways

Leaders Ystrad Rhonnda bounced back from last week’s defeat to record their eleventh win in Division Two East with a 17-8 victory at Bedlinog.
Alex Webber was the star man for the pacemakers, notching up all of his team’s points through a try, conversion and three penalties.
The hosts' only try came through Nathan Rees.
Penallta’s impressive run of form continued with a 46-3 demolition of Abercynon.

The Pitmen helped themselves to seven tries including a brace for captain Keiran Mahoney, with Rhys Clarke, Andrew Soroko, Gareth Edwards, Gavin Jones and Lee Thomas also crossing the whitewash. Soroko also fired home a penalty and four conversions.
Ynysybwl also recovered from their loss last week to produce an impressive 42-7 dismantling of Tylorstown.
Bwl, who sit in second place, crossed for six tries through Dale Stuckey, Andrew Lloyd, Nathan King, Aled Thomas, Oliver Rees and Gareth King. Richard Tibbs added the extras to all six touchdowns.
Meaanwhile, Heol y Cyw bagged their ninth win with a 21-3 victory at Llantrisant, but the visitors fell just short of a try bonus point, only crossing for three touchdowns.
Elsewhere, Rhydyfelin put Rhymney to the sword in a 37-6 thumping and Fleur de Lys defeated Llantwit Fadrew 25-17.
