Narrow win sees Glynneath return to summit

Glynneath returned to the top of Division Two West with a narrow, 22-18 home success over title rivals Kenfig Hill.
The hosts’ bagged all of their points in the opening half, with the star of the show being outside half Jack O’Reily, who slotted five penalties and converted flanker James Parry’s touchdown.
The Mules crossed for two tries through hooker Carl Davies and wing Mark Tossell, while Richard Clark slotted two penalties and a conversion. However, the visitors will feel it was a missed opportunity as they were unable to capitalise when Glynneath were reduced to thirteen men, only managing to score three points.
Loughor moved up to fourth with an impressive 30-19 victory at Cwmllynfell.
The Blues ran in four tries through Jai Leung, Rhys Corcoran, Rhys Luckwell and a great individual effort from hooker Michael White, who powered in from 30 yards. Andrew Williams fired home two penalties and landed two conversions to complete the scoring.
Cwm meanwhile could only manage three Chris Jones penalties, with wing Browyn Davies and scrum half Owain Williams touching down.
Aberavon Quins continued their impressive recent form, bagging their fifth victory on the  bounce with a 30-14 win at Felinfoel.
Quins helped themselves to four tries through Stuart Dighton, Daniel Phillips, Neil Gadd and outside half Marc Shepperd, with the latter also landing two conversions and two penalties.
Meanwhile, Crymych finally bagged their maiden victory with a 48-13 win over basement boys Maesteg at Lynfi Road.
The visitors crossed for six tries through Tomos Jones, Simon James, Dan Davies, Garvin Thomas, Carwyn Phillips and Rhys Richards. Rhys Davies added six conversions and a penalty.
The Llynfi Valley side once again showed a lot of heart, despite the scoreline, and were rewarded with a second half Mark Jones touchdown, while Aled Davies stroke home two penalties and a conversion.
Elsewhere, Builth Wells narrowly defeated Aberystwyth 13-10 and Kidwelly picked up a 23-10 win at Skewen.
