Senghenydd, promoted to Division Three East, sit at the summit after
seven matches and surely thoughts of a double promotion will be at the
forefront of their minds.
“We’ve had a few bad times recently. We sunk as low as Division Five
but we collected ourselves and have been on a roll gaining promotion
since. We put a new coaching system in place which has paid dividends,”
said Team Manager Mike Hallet. “We have also put greater emphasis on
our youth system and through that hard work, we’re starting to reap the
rewards but it's hard going competing for players with clubs that have
cash to throw around.”
The Saints have welcomed youngsters Josh Williams and Lloyd Rowlands
into their ranks as well as recruiting Caerphilly’s Chris Payne.
