Ford inspires 13 try Senghenydd romp

Senghenydd heaped more woe on freefalling Caerphilly in Division Three East, helping themselves to thirteen tries in an 89-0 demolition of the Cheesemen.
Ex-Caerphilly player, scrum-half Alun Ford, produced an inspired performance to rack up 32 points through four tries and twelve conversions. Winger Lloyd Rowlands touched down for a hat trick while Mike Silcox bagged a brace, with Dewi Smith, Chris Payne, Gareth Short and David Davies also going over.
Senghenydd, who are aiming for back to back promotions, climbed to second with their fifth victory of the season.
Pill Harriers still head the table thanks to a 38-0 try bonus victory at Abertillery B.G.
Pill ran in six tries with Duane Bailey and Dave Trovey both crossing twice, and David Leyshen and Rhys Yelland also getting on the scoresheet. Bailey rounded off a fine individual performance slotting four conversions.
Meanwhile, Newport HSOB crossed the Croesyceiliog line eight times in a 44-17 home success, through braces from Michael Burke and Rhys Williams, with Ross Bridgemore, Joe Carling, Jonathan Burgess and Mark Bale also crossing.
Elsewhere, Risca helped themselves to six tries in their 38-8 win at Brynmawr, struggling Tredegar Ironsides went down 49-0 to Garndiffiath, while Abergavenny narrowly defeated Pontypool United 17-14.
