The One East highfliers defied
the heavy conditions to run in five tries, with full back David Gratton bagging
a brace while Daniel John, Ryan Howells and Nathan Hughes also crossed the
whitewash.
Ystrad will be joined in the
semi-final draw on Tuesday by two fellow One East outfits as both Heol y Cyw
and Rhydyfelin avoided potential banana skins against lower league opposition.
Heol y Cyw were tested by
visitors Pill Harriers but the Cockerels eventually triumphed 11-3 in muddy
conditions.
Paul Songhurst touched down for
the only try of the match, while Mike Huckbridge fired home two penalties to
seal their last four place.
Meanwhile, a late try from Lewis
Smith ensured Rhydyfelin overcame a spirited showing from Llantrisant to win
18-13.
Cwmllynfell are the last side
from the west of the country left standing after they overcame Kidwelly 22-13 in
an all One West showdown at Parc Stephens.
Speedster Trystan Lewis was at
the double for the visitors, while scrum half Alun Sterl also went over. Peter
Thomas added seven points with the boot.
