The eastern clubs are battling for 14 slots in Group C, with
the rest of the finalists to be comprised of nine from Group B (west) and seven
from Group A (north), as well as the holders and hosts.
With all the ties at neutral venues, local rivals are
readying themselves for the first preliminary round, with a place in round two
and local bragging rights at stake.
In Group A, Clays face an enticing first round encounter
with Bull Bay at Penmaenmawr, while Mold will face Conwy at Rhuddlan, and
Llandudno (Maesdu) facing a tough fixture with North Wales at Conwy.
Of those given byes to the second qualifying round, Wrexham
await Old Padeswood, Henllys Hall face a tricky tie against Rhuddlan, and
Hawarden await Nefyn & District.
All second preliminary round venues are yet to be confirmed.
Group B will see Neath tee off against Aberwystwyth at
Llandrinod Wells, with Tenby and Gower battling it out at Machynys and South
Pembrokeshire meeting Mond Valley at Carmarthen.
Ashburnham and Glynneath have been drawn together in the
second round, as have Haverfordwest and Trefloyne.
In Group C, Woodlake Park will face Wernddu at Raglan Parc,
while Peterstone Lakes face a tough tie with Celtic Manor at Bryn Meadows. Monmouth
will play historically successful Brynhill at St Pierre.
Waiting in the second round are The Vale Resort, who meet
the challenge of Monmouthshire. Wenvoe Castle will tee off with Pontypridd.
All first round ties are to be completed by May 20, with
second preliminary round matches to be completed by July 1.
