With the draw split geographically in to three groups - the
north, south-west and south-east - a total of 30 clubs will progress to finals
day to battle it out for the honours.
The preliminary round, to be completed by Monday, May 20,
sees three ties to be played in the north. Llandudno will face Wrexham, while
Porthmadog will tee off against Abersoch and Mold will duel with Dolgellau.
Six clubs have gained byes to the next round: – Royal St
David’s, Rhuddlan, Nefyn & District, Vale of Llangollen, Conwy and
Aberdovey.
In the west, Tenby will face Pembrokeshire rivals Newport
Links in what should be an intriguing tie.
Elsewhere, Ashburnham face Gower, and Morriston will be looking to take on Neath in another plum draw.
Borth & Ynyslas, Carmarthen, Cradoc, Fairwood Park,
Haverfordwest and Machynys are the clubs receiving byes to the next round.
In the east, Llanwern and Monmouthshire is an interesting
looking local derby, while Royal Porthcawl v Wenvoe Castle and Pyle &
Kenfig v Peterstone Lakes are two more of the seven preliminary round ties to
look out for.
There are only four clubs with byes in this section, with Cottrell
Park, Radyr, Raglan Parc and St Pierre all names clubs would probably wish to
avoid in the next round.
All matches are to be played at neutral venues.
