Ebbw Vale retained the Division One East title in emphatic fashion with a 52-0 whitewash over strugglers Tredegar.
The Steelmen faithful had just a three mile trip to make to the Recreation Ground and they weren’t left disappointed, as their heroes wrapped up the try bonus point before the break crossing five times through a Wes Cunliffe double, with Dan Haymond, Dan Dearden and Gareth James also touching down. Dorian Jones added the extras to four.
After the interval they continued where they left off, running in a further three tries through Dearden, a penalty try and a brilliant individual try from his own 22 by Dorian Jones to seal the 52-0 whitewash.
Meanwhile, Newbridge sealed third place with a ten try 66-12 demolition of fifth placed Beddau at the Welfare Ground.
The hosts were dominant throughout with outside half Neil Burnett controlling proceedings wonderfully, unleashing the backs with excellent effect. Wing Gareth Jones grabbed a hat-trick, Brendan Howells and Geraint Thomas each crossed twice, while Ceri Young, Shaun Thomas and Mark Curtis also went over. Burnett landed eight conversions.
Beddau were restricted to two touchdowns either side of the break through Glen Slater and Keiran Thomas, while Gavin Pearce added the extras to the first.
