Laura's weekend predictions

Bridgend Athletic v Ammanford
After a troublesome start for Athletic, the Newbridge Fields outfit are now flying towards the end of the season and will be aiming to bag their fifth win on the bounce when they welcome Ammanford. The Division newcomers Ammanford meanwhile will be desperate to pick up victories in their final two matches to avoid finishing bottom of the league. I think both sides like to play expansive rugby so will be a high scoring affair, but I think the hosts will run out comfortable winners in the end.
Verdict-Bridgend Athletic by 10 points
Llangennech v Bonymaen
Llangennech were impressive in their victory at Ammanford last week, while Bonymaen were comprehensively beaten at home by highflying Carmarthen Athletic, though have beaten Tata Steel and ran leaders Narberth close in recent weeks. However, Bony’s away form hasn’t been great and I think Llangennech will come away with the points
Verdict-Llangennech by 7 points
Narberth v UWIC
The Students travel to the top two in the space of five days with their first test at pacemakers, the Otters tomorrow. Narberth easily beat UWIC at Cyncoed but haven’t been their free flowing selves of late as the race for the title intensifies. The Students meanwhile haven’t won a league match since January 21 and are long overdue for a good performance. Will it be at the Lewis Lloyd Ground?
Verdict-Narberth by 3 points
Tata Steel v Llanharan
The honours finished even last time these sides met, but the Saints know a repeat of that result could end their title hopes in what could be a huge week for the Margam based outfit. With the highfliers also hosting UWIC on Wednesday, two try bonus wins puts them in the driving seat to be crowned Champions, but the Dairymen will present a real test. Both packs are strong and I think this match will depend on what side can boss the set piece and give their backs the platform to perform.
Verdict-Tata Steel by 5 points
Tondu v Waunarlwydd
The Waterwheelers' trouble this year has been converting their chances into points, with the league newcomers dominating many matches but being unable to provide the knockout blow. Waun on the other hand have had no problem running in the tries but their defence has leaked too many. I think this will be a close contest and I’m going to give the edge to Tondu with home advantage.
Verdict-Tondu by 6 points
