Aberavon v Llanelli
If the form book is anything to go by there’s only one
winner in this game tomorrow night (Wednesday).
Llanelli did lose their first match of the season but won
the last two easily, away at Newport and at home to Neath.
They’ll have to seriously under-perform not to win this
fixture although Aberavon’s poor form can’t go on forever.
Verdict – Llanelli by 12 points
Bridgend v Cardiff
The relief around the Arms Park was palpable following
Cardiff’s first win of the season on Saturday against Newport.
Bridgend began the season promisingly but felt the full
force of Llandovery last time out and will need a big improvement at the
Brewery Field.
Verdict – Cardiff by five points
Neath v Carmarthen Quins
Quins might have lost to Pontypridd at the weekend but it was
only a very late try that eventually saw the visitors pull clear and deny them
a losing bonus point.
Neath are worryingly out of form at the moment with big
defeats on the spin against Llandovery and Llanelli and it will be another West
Wales club hoping to make it three in a row.
Verdict – Quins by four points
Newport v Bedwas
Conceding more than 100 points in two games won’t give the
Newport fans much confidence going into a game they probably feel they should
win.
But Bedwas have started the campaign well with two wins from
three and they will see this as a great opportunity to get one over their Gwent
rivals.
Verdict – Bedwas by six points
Swansea v Cross Keys
This is another fixture where, on paper, there should be one
clear favourite.
Swansea undid all the good work they produced against
Aberavon in defeat at Bedwas and even though the final score may have been a
bit harsh on them, it was a game they must have gone into thinking was there
for the taking.
Cross Keys have, as expected, bounced back strongly
following a loss on the opening day and should win this one.
Verdict – Cross Keys by 12 points
