The New Saints have drawn Helsingborgs IF in the 2nd Round of Qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
With all draws made for UEFA Club competitions on Monday, TNS were given home advantage in their first leg against the Swedish Champions.
The first leg is due to take place on Tuesday 17th July, with the reverse fixture the following week. The Saints are upgrading their Park Hall Stadium to meet the criteria required for Champions League competition and should find out next week if they are allowed to play in Oswestry.
Helsingborgs was a founding member of the Allsvenskan (Sweden's top-division), and have won seven national championship titles and five national cups.
Helsingborgs currently sit fifth in the league with eighteen points from twelve matches.
Meanhwile in the Europa qualifiers, both Llanelli and Cefn Druids will face Finnish opposition as they meet Kuopio Palloseura and MyPa-47 respectively. The Reds are away for the opening leg, while the Druids will play their first leg at the Racecourse.
Bangor City, who were seeded for the first qualifying round draw, will play Zimbru Chisinev of Moldova. Chisinev were the fourth highest non-seed. The Citizens, who have played Finnish opposition on three occasions, will face a different sort of challenge with a long journey to Moldova.
Bangor will play BSC Young Boys Bern of Switzerland should they progress.
The Champions League matches will take place on the 17th/18th July, with the second legs on the 24th/25th.
The Europa League matches will take place on the 5th and 12th of July.
