It remains as tight as ever at the head of Division Three of the South Wales Cricket Association, after the top of the table clash between leaders Hills Plymouth and Porthcawl ended in a no differential draw.
The pacemakers batting first were restricted to 103, with Matthew Lewis holding his side together with a solid 40 in what proved to be a difficult day at the crease for both sides. Tom Davies, 3-30, and Dave Lewis, 4-26, both capitalised on the conditions to take some impressive figures.
The Seasiders in reply ended on 33-5 in the 15th over with the rain forcing an end to the day's play. Matthew Davies was the pick of the bowlers collecting 3-12.
In the only match to reach a conclusion, Margam inflicted Pwll’s sixth defeat of the season with a six wicket victory.
Pwll were dismissed for 60, with Rhodri Reynolds picking up 4-25, while Robert Davies captured 3-26.
In reply, the Port Talbot side chased down the runs for the loss of four wickets, 64-4, with Luke O’Connor smashing an undefeated 41.
Elsewhere, it was a similar story for matches between Swansea Civil Service and Pontyberem, Maesteg and Landore, and Drefach and Briton Ferry Town, with all matches suffering to varying degrees at the hands of the weather.
