BECKY Morgan’s slim chance had of winning the ISPS Handa Australian Open disappeared with a third-round 78 at Royal Melbourne.
Going into the last day of play tomorrow, she is 11 shots off the lead held by American Jessica Korda who has a one stroke advantage over the chasing pack.
Morgan is tied for 40th after a disappointing five-over par round which included six bogeys and only one birdie.
The round of day three came from Aussie Nikki Campbell with a three-under 70 to give her a share of second with Koreans So Yeon Ryu and Hee Kyung Seo.
For her final round, Abergavenny-born Morgan goes out alongside American Christine Song at 9.55am local time.
