The 19-year-old former Morecambe
player is rated highly by Southport manager Liam Watson, and will help provide
cover for the team as they look to stave off relegation from the Blue Square
Bet North division.
He is able to operate either on the
right or in the center of midfield, and Williams said: “He is a very
competitive midfielder and is the sort of player we need.”
It follows the recent acquisition
of striker Arthur Gnahoua on loan from Macclesfield Town, who made his debut as
a substitute in Saturday’s 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Workington - a
performance Williams described as “embarrassing”.
Colwyn Bay also hope to make a
further signing, with former Wrexham and Bangor City player Jamie Crowther
expected to put pen to paper on a deal with the club after impressing on trial.
Another versatile player, Crowther
can operate either in midfield or central defence.
Bay fans will be hoping the new
signings can help alter a run of form that has seen the club lose their last
five league fixtures, and win only five of their last 25 in all competitions.
