Noor picked up Quins’ Young Player of the Year award last
season, and will be hoping to continue that form with his new club in the west
of the capital.
Caerau announced on Twitter on Friday morning: “The club is
very pleased to have signed the talented Ghani Noor from [Grange Quins]. Ghani
will be available for selection in tomorrow's match.
“Ghani is a player with excellent skill and will fit into
the CEFC style.”
Their manage Nana Baah backed that statement up, saying that
he was delighted to have realised his long-term desire to bring Noor to the club.
He said: “Ghani is a really skilful player. He is a Cardiff
City youth product who was released and joined the Quins to work on his skills.
“He will only get better. He is young, and I am hoping to
develop him in to one of the best players at the club.
“I have wanted him for a long time, and it was just a bit of
luck that he got in to contact with one of our players and expressed an
interest in joining.
“Like everyone he will have to work his way in to the
starting 11 but he will get his chances. I am hoping he will settle, will
improve the team and be a massive lift to everyone at the club.”
Cardiff Quins wished the departing player well, adding: “Good
luck to Ghani, wish you well.”
The move is the second between the two clubs recently, after
prolific striker Rhys Yates moved in the same direction last month. Yates
himself endorsed Noor joining him at Cwrt-yr-Ala, saying on Twitter: “Top
signing”.
