Glynneath return to winning ways as the title race heats up

Title contenders Glynneath returned to winning ways in Division Two West to narrow the gap on leaders Kenfig Hill to three points thanks to a 30-16 victory over Skewen
The highfliers, who lost out to Skewen earlier in the season were dominant throughout crossing for five tries through a Kyle Roberts double, with Mark Seymour, Stuart Leach and Anthony Lee also going over.
The visitors were restricted to a solitary try through Jamie Kirkhouse, while Jamie Ball added the extras and landed three penalties.
Aberavon Quins moved up to third in the table thanks to a 43-8 drubbing of strugglers Maesteg.
The Quins helped themselves to seven tries as they outclassed their visitors with touchdowns from Ryan Curtis, Alex Condon, Steve Collarusso, Dan Morgan, Marc Sheppard and a double from Gareth Pugh. Sheppard also added four conversions.
The Llynfi Valley side did give their travelling supporters something to cheer about in the second half when Rhys Davies touched down and Corey Butler slotted a penalty.
Meanwhile, in a low scoring encounter, Crymych edged past Aberystwyth 12-9 at Plascrug.
The visitors' Dyfan Dafydd was on target with four penalties to bag his side their third win.
In the day's other fixture, Loughor comfortably defeated Felinfoel 22-11.
