Garndiffaith extend lead at the top


Garndiffaith extended their lead at the summit of Division Three East thanks to a 40-20 home success over Risca at Lasgarn View.
Garn helped themselves to six tries through Matthew Billings, Dan Davies, Matthew Davies, Lee Courtney, Nicky Simons and Dorian Green.
Abertillery B G moved up to fourth in the table after demolishing New Tredegar 46-10.
The Green and Whites produced a dominant display to run in seven tries, including braces for Aled Penn and Kyle Griffiths, with Craig Meredith, Darren Myles and Daniel Crandon also going over. Daniel Haile added two conversions and a penalty, and Luke Peglar also slotted two conversions.
Senghenydd, who are chasing back to back titles, returned to winning ways with a comfortable 18-3 triumph over Abergavenny.
The Saints crossed twice through Robert Bosley and Gareth Gibbs.
Pontypool United cruised to their eighth win with a 35-10 victory over Brynmawr.
United, in action for the first time since before the Christmas break, ran in five tries through a Mike Rosser double with Gareth Jenkins, Morgan West and Mark Parfit also touching down.
Elsewhere, in the battle at the bottom Croesyceiliog defeated Caerphilly 20-5.
The Cockerels' touchdowns came through Scott Copsey and Martin Vaughan, while Martin Entwhistle was on target with both conversions and two penalties.
The Cheesemen’s only score of the match was a try through Hywel Jones.
The fixture between Newport HSOB and Pill Harriers never made it to the park due to a frozen pitch.
