Only three sides confirmed for SWALEC Bowl fifth round

With the recent decimation of fixtures brought about by the ever-changing weather, only three sides had been confirmed for the last 16 of the SWALEC Bowl by the time of the fifth round draw.

Tycroes, Penlan and Fishguard are the only teams definitely through to the latter stages, with 29 teams in total appearing in the draw for a place in the quarter-finals.

The ties will take place on February 16.

Tycroes, of Division Four West, will travel to the winners of the all-Division Four South East tie between Wattstown and Llantwit Major, while Penlan will travel to either Abercwmboi or Cardiff Meds. Fishguard, of Division Four West, will get a chance at a Cup shock as they host the winners of the all-Division Two North clash between Shotton Steel and Llangollen.

Other potential shocks await too. Either Hafodyrynys (Four East) or Nantyglo (Five East) will get COBRA or Denbigh (both Two North).

Six West side Cambrian Welfare, the lowest ranked team left in the tournament, can also get a chance at a shock if they overcome Five South Central side Glyncoch. The winner of that tie will travel to either Bettws (Five East) or Monmouth (Four East).
