Sport Wales have
announced that the first ever National Disability Football Conference will take
place at Glyndwr University, Wrexham this year.
The event is free of charge, and goes ahead on Sunday, March
24. Registration will take place between 9.30am and 10am, with the day drawing
to a close at 5pm.
The announcement on Sport Wales’ website stated: “The day
will include a mix of guest speakers, interactive practical sessions, an
overview of the FAW Disability Strategy and a chance to meet and hear from
programme ambassadors.
“Full attendance at the conference will re-validate valid FAW
Football Leaders Awards for a further three seasons.
“The conference is available to all, regardless of existing
involvement in disability football or coaching qualifications. Candidates must
be at least 16 years of age.”
The closing date for applications is Friday, March 15th,
with applications received after this date dealt with subject to availability.
