Pontypridd
RFC have added Luke Crocker to their senior squad the flanker joins the Premiership champions from neighbouring club
Beddau.
An abrasive back rower, Crocker was
nominated Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year for Beddau last
season, being a key performer for the club in its Championship campaign and in
winning the Mid District Cup at Sardis Road.
Cardiff born and a product of the
Canton club, Luke Crocker is aged twenty-three and stands at 6ft 2in. Having
gained experience in playing across the back row, Crocker comes to Pontypridd
as a recognised blind side flanker.
In announcing the new signing,
Pontypridd team manager Richard Langmead commented:
"Luke is a big, aggressive back
row player who has made his mark in the Championship and has the potential to
make the step up to Premiership level. We are delighted to have him on board,
and look forward to see him develop that potential to the full with
Pontypridd."
