After 22 hard minutes in which Waunarlwydd were on top and lead 7-0, Aberavon raced away to score nine tries at Roseland Road.
Full backs Howard Thomas (first half) and Jon Phillips (second
half) both scored a brace of tries with Aberavon introducing many new
young players.
Centre Dan Fox scored a goodd try that Lee Evans (though now an
Aberavon player) converted but the Wizards led 21-7 at the break.
Powerful centre Darren Ryan had a fine game and in the pack,
flanker Nathan Brown had a splendid afternoon, while young wing Aaron
Grabham made a good impression and Steve Cullen was sharp at centre.
