Otters survive late scare against Bonymaen

Leaders Narberth survived a late scare against Bonymaen but remain on course to be crowned Division One West Champions with a narrow 19-17 victory over Bonymaen at the Lloyd Lewis Ground.
The Otters notched up all of their points before the interval through touchdowns from Steve Martin, Adrian Killa and Sean Lloyd, while Stuart Morris added the extras to two conversions.
As the hosts began to wilt in the sun, Bony turned up the heat to set up a grandstand finish, adding to Nick Eager’s first half try through a Paul Davies touchdown, with Paul Warlow converting both, while Richard Cunniffe landed a penalty.
Meanwhile, highflying Tata Steel kept up the pressure on the leaders with a bonus point, 25-17 win over Whitland at their Margam base.
The Saints ran in four tries through Carwyn Clements, Gareth Edwards, Ashley Phillips and were also awarded a penalty try.
The Borderers' solitary touchdown came through Dafydd Williams, while Scott Newton slotted two penalties and a drop goal. Carwyn Jones also dropped a goal.
Mike Sauro races away for Athletic's first try
In the West Wales derby, Carmarthen Athletic condemned visiting Ammanford to their 13th defeat of the season with a 17-10 victory.
Athletic inspired by influential full-back Mike Sauro, who bagged 12 of his side's points through a try, two conversions and a penalty, while Luke Marshall also crossed for the hosts.
Carmarthen Captain Gethin Robinson was in the think of the action all day.

The visitors threw everything at their hosts in a typical derby encounter, but were restricted to a Richard Graig touchdown, with Carwyn Richards adding the extras to his first half penalty.

Bridgend Athletic's resurgence continued with a 46-32 win over Llangennech in a highly entertaining contest at the Park Rugby Ground.
In perfect conditions for running rugby, the teams did not disappoint with Athletic crossing the whitewash six times through a Jonathan Phillips double, while Aled Thomas, Tom Goodwin, James Olds and Steve Lewis also touched down. Lewis also fired home two penalties and five conversions, for a personal tally of 21 points.
The hosts also played their part, bagging a try bonus point thanks to tries from Liam Hutchings, Luke Marsh and a Lee Davies brace.
In the day's other fixture, Waunarlwydd slipped to their eleventh defeat at the hands of Llanharan going down 21-15.
The Dairymen touched down twice through Josh Austin and Nathan Huish, while Chris Williams added eleven points with the boot.
Waun after starting well could not build on their first half tries from Josh Hammett and Guy Jones, with Lee Evans getting their only points after the break slotting a penalty to add to his earlier conversion.
