The first ever semi-finals of the Welsh Premier Women’s
League Cup will take place on Sunday January 26 -as Cardiff Metropolitan host
Swansea City and Port Talbot travel to Llanidloes. (both 2pm KO’s)
Cardiff Met are unbeaten in all competitions so far this
season and will be hoping that home advantage at their new 3G home in Cyncoed
will help them reach the inaugural final of this new competition.
Swansea will of course have different ideas and will go into
this match after a deserved victory over Wrexham in the WPWL last Sunday.
Llanidloes and Port Talbot drew 1-1 in their League fixture
in October but there will be a winner on Sunday as extra time and penalties, if
required, will determine who will secure their place in the first ever Welsh
Premier Women’s League Cup Final.
