Druids target another Cup Run

Last season’s FAW Welsh Cup runners up Cefn Druids will be targeting another successful Cup run when they travel to Welsh National League side Brymbo in the second round tomorrow.
The Huws Gray Alliance side, that bowed out of the league Cup at the end of last month, will be determined to make progress in the competition they did so well in last year and are firm favourites to progress to round three.
Llanidloes Town will be hoping for a Cup upset when the Spar mid-Wales outfit host Huws Gray Alliance side Caersws on Saturday.
Town player/manager Anthony Griffiths played over 300 times for his opponents and admitted the match will be the biggest in his time at the club, “We played each other at Caersws in the Welsh Cup a few years ago, but with us having home advantage and the fact that we are a stronger team now, this will be my biggest day at the club. We have fantastic support at Llanidloes - they are fanatical and the town is buzzing so I hope that it’s a great turn out to cheer us on.”
Elsewhere in the North section, Waterloo Road will be dreaming of giant killing when they entertain Huws Gray pacemakers Rhyl.
Moving Southwards, in an all Welsh league Division One affair, Haverfordwest County travel to highflying Cambrian and Clydach, with the Bluebirds looking to gain revenge for the 2-1 home defeat they suffered to their opponents in the league.
Meanwhile, Barry Town will be looking to forget about their off field problems when they make the trip to Huws Gray side Penrhyncoch.
The reward for the 20 victorious sides will be a possible encounter with Welsh Premiership opposition, as the 12 top flight sides come into the draw in round three.
