Rhiwbina back on top

Grant Fitzgerald crosses for Rhiwbina’s opening try at Mountain Ash

In the top of the table Two East showdown, it was Rhiwbina who claimed victory as they ran out 36-8 winners at Mountain Ash

The Old Firm had no answer to the powerful Squirrels scrum and scrum half Harry Trelawney had a commanding game.
Josh Davies opened the Squirrels’ account with a drop goal, and first half tries came from Grant Fitzgerald, Dave Smith and Joe Cassella, with Gareth McCarthy converting two.
The hosts got on the scoreboard with a Matthew Parfit penalty and Ross Davies try each side of half time.
In the second half the Rhiwbina scrum forced a penalty try to clinch the bonus point, and prop Dan Evans crossed for the fifth try, both converted by McCarthy.

Fleur De Lys 18 - 8 Abercynon
