Neath RFC coach Neil Edwards is pleased that four Ospreys players will be available to him for the new season.
Dafydd Howells, Calum Davies, Jordan Collier and Joe Davies, all 18-years old, will all wear the famous black throughout 2013-14 as the regional club have agreed to give the quartet much-needed experience in the Welsh Premiership.
Howells, Calum Davies and Collier all made appearances for Neath last season and all went through the Ospreys academy at under 16s and 18s level, but Joe Davies is new to The Gnoll.
Howells became a full Welsh international this summer when he played twice against Japan on Wales’ summer tour. He made two full Ospreys appearances last season and turned out five times for Neath.
Calum Davies is a back-row forward. He turned out three times for Neath in 2013-14 near to the end of the season.
Collier played seven times for Neath last season. He was previously with Tonmawr when they were in the Premiership in 2011-12.
Joe Davies will make his first senior rugby appearance when he turns out for Neath in 2013-14. His first year with the Ospreys last season, he played for their under 18 academy side against all the other regions.
Edwards said: “We’re delighted that our solid links with the Ospreys are continuing into 2013-14. Our quartet of Ospreys players are up and coming stars and we’re delighted that they’re to be turning out for Neath.
“I know that they can all do a good job and Dafydd has already proved that at the highest level after winning full international caps for Wales this summer.
“All four are still developing as players of course and playing in the Premiership, coupled with their continued progress at regional level, can only help them, the Ospreys and Neath RFC.”
